NYU SOF hosts various conferences and professional events throughout the year — bringing together hundreds of like-minded college students and finance executives. Registration for some conferences is only open to SOF members, while others are open to all interested students. Northeast Leadership Conference

The Northeast Leadership Conference is NYU SOF’s annual flagship event, organized in collaboration with chapters from neighboring schools. It brings together students and finance professionals for a mix of panel discussions, keynote speeches, and networking focused on SOF’s core mission, vision, and values. Registration for the Northeast Leadership Conference is limited to SOF members.

2025 Northeast Leadership Conference | February 28th, 2025

The 2025 Northeast Leadership Conference, hosted in partnership with the Rutgers SOF chapter, will bring together students and executives from top firms for an afternoon of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking rotations. Set for February 28th, 2025, at Deutsche Bank’s Headquarters in New York, the event will also welcome other chapters across the Northeast.

With the theme of “Harnessing Courage to Drive Excellence,” this year’s conference is an opportunity for students to hear from values-based leaders shaping the finance industry and leverage their learnings to serve the greater good.

Past Northeast Leadership Conferences

The 2024 Northeast Leadership Conference was held in Spring 2024 at the Stern School of Business, focusing on the intersection between artificial intelligence and finance. In prior years, the Northeast Leadership Conference has also been held at the New York offices of Point72 and KKR.

SOF x 100 Women in Finance Conference

NYU SOF partners with 100 Women in Finance, a national non-profit focused on supporting women in the finance industry, to host annual conferences. Since its inception in Fall 2022, the event has explored impactful themes, including “The Power of Women Leaders in Finance,” “The Future of Finance,” and “Women at the Forefront: Innovations in Business.”

Registration for the SOF x 100 Women in Finance Conference is not restricted to SOF members.

Climate Symposium

Our inaugural Climate Symposium took place in Fall 2023 at the Stern School of Business. Through a keynote panel, discussions, and a networking session, students learned about career paths in the climate economy, such as in academia, data science, and finance.
