SOF hosts various conferences and professional events throughout the year — bringing together hundreds of like-minded college students and finance executives. Registration for some conferences is only open to SOF members, while others are open to all interested students. Northeast Leadership Conference
The Northeast Leadership Conference is SOF's main annual event, organized in collaboration with SOF chapters from neighboring schools. Attended by both students and executives, it facilitates a unique environment for networking, learning, and professional development. This past year, we hosted the 2024 conference at NYU Stern with 100+ students and more than 15 firms, including Insight Partners, Morgan Stanley, and Blackstone, to name a few. In 2023, we hosted the conference at Point 72’s headquarters in Hudson Yards.
The event includes a fireside chat, offering students the opportunity to hear high-level executives share insights from their industry experience. This is followed by an insightful keynote presentation and a networking session where students can engage directly with professionals.

SOF x 100 Women in Finance
NYU SOF partners with 100 Women in Finance (100WF), a national non-profit focused on supporting women in the finance industry, to host annual conferences. Since its inception in Fall 2022, the conference has explored impactful themes such as 'The Power of Women Leaders in Finance,' 'The Future of Finance,' and 'Women at the Forefront: Innovations in Business.'

Climate Symposium 2023
Fall 2023 saw our inaugural Climate Symposium, where students explored career paths across academia, banking, consulting, data science, investing, and startups in the climate economy through a keynote panel, discussions, and a networking session.
